RONALD KEATON has distinguished himself as a dependable, versatile performer on the stage – First Folio Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Marriott Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace, Theater Wit, Oak Park Festival Theatre and several others in Chicago and throughout the Midwest. His regional credits include roles at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami, Houston’s Alley Theatre and New York’s New World Stages off-Broadway. Ronald wears many hats as an actor/writer/singer, director, stage manager, fundraiser and an advocate for all the arts. With Artistic Director Kurt Johns, Keaton is the Founder/Artistic Producer of SoloChicago Theatre, which is singularly devoted to the creation and development of solo theatrical narrative and performance. His solo play CHURCHILL had a highly successful six-month run off-Broadway in 2015 and received the Joseph Jefferson Award in Chicago for outstanding solo performance. In addition to ECHO HOLLER, Ronald has just begun work on a new solo piece about an American icon — Benjamin Franklin. He’s also the host of the history podcast THE FRONT PORCH.
